RFx ready to launch July 15th!

The countdown is on!  In a little over 3 weeks (July 15th 2012), RFx will be launched into orbit to the International Space Station aboard a Soyuz rocket from Baikonur, Kazakhstan.

With dedicated efforts of the ESA Science team under PI Dr. Prof. Gilles Clement, Space Applications, MEDES, CADMOS, ISU organizations, and our ISS International Partners, the operational component of RFx is about to take flight. Up till now all of our activities have been ground-based in preparation to support in-flight ops.

Stay tuned as we provide updates on the next phase of RFx. That doesn't mean our current job is over though - as RFx is a long-term payload aboard the ISS, we will continue to develop the payload, train further crews and collect and analyze more data to aid humanity's understanding of the effects of microgravity on long-duration spaceflights.

Get ready to watch!
