Crew Informed Consent Briefing

The software is in detailed design through its development, review and tests by the developer in accordance with our Software Requirements document. To ensure the timeline for December 2011 launch is attainable, the astronaut crew subjects that will conduct RFx on orbit need to be trained well in advance - at least Launch Date (L)-6 Months.  The first introduction of the experiment to the crew is the Crew Informed Consent Briefing (ICB). The ICB is a high-level overview of the experiment's purpose, design, operation, expected results and timeline. Any risks associated with conducting an experiment are reviewed and accepted at this stage too. Expect more frequent posts from us!
